I have a bazaar problem, that I am trying to figure out. Whenever I try to watch live tv , whether it be analog or digital (ATSC), the sound fades out after 5 to 9 seconds and stays away. I also just noticed that the video studders a little while the sound is on, but once the sound goes away, the video is smooth (obviously you can tell this more during an HD broadcast). I recorded an HD program last Friday and it recorded flawlessly. It seems to only be live TV.

Could someone suggest how I can figure out if my problem is with gbpvr, my video card (GeForce 6200 LE), my tuner (HVR-1600), or some other problem? Thanks

What audio decoders have you tried?

I haven't tried any audio decoders. I just searched wiki and found the Nvidia PureVideo decoder registry patch. Is that what you would recommed I try? I just downloaded it and am about to restart my computer to see if it helped.

Just restarted and still does same thing. Maybe that patch wasn't the solution, or I am running it wrong.

Try installing some different audio decoders and try them (by selecting in the playback tab of the config app). For example, http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm

Ok, it looks like using AC-3 filter as my audio decoder with Realtek HD Audio ouput as my audio renderer works the best, but now there is about a half second lag between the audio and the video. Is that an adjustment I can make in the audio decoder settings?

No that I'm aware of. Try some other decoder.

i figured it out. I realized that my system can't handle VMR9 which it looks like is the minimum requirement for PVRX2. I opened GBPVR and the video and audio work perfectly when I put the settings for GBPVR to VMR7. Is there any way to change the video rendering of PVRX2 to VMR9?

PVRX2 requires VMR9 Custom, VMR9 FSE or EVR.
