We've all been there - well most of us anyway. It does work fine though - problem is that everyone's systems are different so it's difficult to make up a 'manual' that copes with every possible setup. I'm sure you'll manage OK.

I have a hauppauge nove t 500 dual dvb-t pci tuner installed. It works with the hauppage front end, but this is clunky. I have just downloaded GB PVR and tried to configure for this. It does not detect the presence of this card ( if I restrict sources available, it reports none detected. Any ideas?

It sure works for me. You do need the BDA drivers loaded for it to be recognised though.
Make sure you select "BDA recording plugin" on the sources page of config rather than the default of direct recording plugin.

Hi,

I've had a complete fight to get my new Nova 500 T into my machine, I'm using the lastest drivers from Hauppauge (Version 4.0) CD which required all the latest patches from Microsoft before it would work right..... it might be worth trying the latest driver CD from the hauppuage site http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/support...vista.html

one error I spotted is the hauppauge card will cause the machine to BSOD when downloading the EPG over the freeview service... I fixed it by patching the machine to the latest MS levels.

hope this helps
Regards Systemshark
