I have been repeatedly getting this error lately. Â Every once in a while I'll find my computer more or less frozen. Â Standard opp for this is to shutdown and restart. Â Well, this is where this error keeps coming up. Â After I command a shut down a few of the normal things happen and then this error pops up. Â In the title bar it says "Gbpvr.exe - DLL Initialization Failed" and in the window it has the red circular 'X' with "The application failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down" written next to it. Â This window keeps coming back when closed and because of this my machine won't fully shut down with out turning it off on the front of the console (ie the way your not supposed to do it). Â So I do it because it is the only option I have found to get around this, it reboots and all is well. Â
After a while of observing this happening I am 99% sure this is related to gbpvr waking my machine from standby which it is set to go into after 2 hrs. of idle. Â I say this because it only seems to happen on days where I have a recording scheduled for when I'm not arround, so my computer is likely to be in standby when it starts. Â It is also worth noting, that other than this my machine is VERY stable. Â I think I may of had to shut it down the wrong way once other than this over the two years I've had it. Â
See sig for setup, here is a copy of my gbpvr.exe.log that was taken just after a reboot as described. Â If this isn't the log you need, or if you need anything else to help with this one, just let me know...I would love to get this taken care of!!
Thanks for any help you can offer!!
