am having trouble today...Sad

when it rains quite heavily, my dvb-t signal is weakened (which i plan on getting sorted - cable problem) but this hangs PVRX2 so badly that i cannot do anything!

i get the signal message on screen and the o/s is running but nothing works - even ctrl-alt-del, alt-enter, alt-esc etc etc. (am using FSE).

i can still access the pc remotely and have zipped the logs - i can force the pc to standby, but when it comes back, no difference.

attached logs (couldn't see anything of any note) - appreciate any help (even if i get signal sorted, there's bound to be a time when the signal is weakened by something...)

thanks for any help..

(remotely killed the pvrx2 process and windows seems good - nothing of any not in event logs)

not sure what to suggest as I have never had this problem with my nova-t 500, nor can I recall reading about it.

I assume that this is when watching live tv. there is a lot of stuff in your logs, perhaps if you could say exactly when the problem occurred and make sure you have log flushing enabled (if not already)

maybe try a different mpeg decoder such as the free MPV one, instead of dscaler.

I did have problems running pvrx2 with -FSE whereby if something did go wrong, it appeared to hang the whole pc as it prevented you from accessing task manager, start button etc. so i gave up on -fse. I suspect that if you switch rendering mode, it wont barf quite as badly.

thanks for pointers - will try mpv, but is only when poor reception does the app hang.

if i don't use FSE, i experience tearing.... Sad

and yes, it is when watching live tv (dvb-t) when signal is bad (tends to be ch5, itv2+1, itv news - think they all broadcast on the same freq or whatever dig equivalent is).

there seems to be nothing in my logs and flushing is enabled..
