Hello,

how can I create the .bin files for my Multichoice external receiver. I have them in normal hex files (.IR) from the IR Server (MediaPortal) or in Pronto format.

Thanks for help, JPB

What type of IR Receiver do you have connected to your PC?

Hi,
i'ts the MCE 2005. Works fine but need to create the 0.bin...9.bin files for the Multichoice receiver. The standard .IR files are not working:
0000 0070 0030 0000 0021 001F 0043 0043 0021 001F 0043 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 0D08 0021 001F 0043 0043 0021 001F 0043 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 0D07 0023 001F 0043 0041 0023 001F 0043 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 0D08 0021 001F 0043 0043 0021 001F 0043 001F 0023 001E 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0023 001F 0021 001F 0021 0E75

How can I convert the codes to binary files?

With the MCE IR Blaster you should be using HIP, with GB-PVR configured to use the '.exe channel changer' pointing at HipSend.exe.

Unfortunately I've never used HIP so I couldnt tell you if it has any tools for converting these hex or pronto format files into the format it uses.

Hi,

HIP is not involved at all, the selection of MCE remote control in the capture source is working and sends some commands to the blaster, if I use some configuration files for other receivers. Only my receiver does not understand the commands and the files 0.bin to 9.bin are empty.
I remember that at the begin of MediaPortal we have used binary files to send commands to the receivers and TV's. I must browse back to my backups.

Otherwise I will use the IRServer application. It works well but I have a little problem with the {channel} parameters. It sends only the first digit, perhaps a timing thing.

Thanks for help, JPB

'MCE2005 IR Blaster' option was never fully completed, so its recommended people use HIP instead. This partially completed option never had the ability import hex or pronto format files etc.

GB-PVR always passes the whole number. It doesnt do it digit at a time so chances are its something wrong in your IRServer software rather than GB-PVR.

Ok, thanks for all the help,
I have tested with HIP and IrBlaster command line tools, the two works fine when sending the commands (change channel) from the command line, but not correctly when using the GBPVR . exe.
It must be a timing problem. It's really regrettable, the whole application is stable and good working, nice GUI, match better then MCE or MP. But, without the possibility of correct channel change, not usable.

Regards from Namibia, JPB
