can gbpvr be used to play live tv at vista business edition?

hi all!

i have a Sony VAIO laptop with vista business edition and thus it does not have windows media centre!
can i use gbpvr to play live tv with vista business?
if yes, what all should i download and install?:confused::confused:

first off: your post is in the wrong sub-forum
MVP is a settop box client for a gbpvr server.

to view live-tv you would need:
1. some sort of tv-card (analog, DVB-T, DVB-S) supported by gbpvr, the required antenna (or dish for DVB-S)
2. gbpvr software and the requirements (.NET2 + microsoft runtime) see here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31113

and yes, it should work with vista business
