I have the system tray icons for GBPVRTray and IR blaster disappearing on each reboot. Searching the posts here gave some good general links to this known issue in WindowsXP. Most I tried did not work (and I do not want to have to log in which does fix it; or diable UPNP which fixes it too).
However...
If I disable the GB-PVR Recording Service, the icons show up when I boot. As soon as I enable the service and reboot, the icons are lost. The problem in windows is believe to be sequencing of tasks and their interaction with systray.exe.
Anyway, does anyone else have this issue and how did you fix?
What is the recording service doing on boot-up such that it would hang or otherwise slow down the boot sequence to bugger up the loading of these icons?
