How do I do to play a music cd in 1.1.5?
Is it one of the thimgs that will reappear in a future release, or have I missed the way to do it?

It's not often I play cd's anymore, but once in a while I do. I think I was able to start a cd in Music Library in 0.99.12, but I can't get it to work now.

There is currently no functionality for playing CDs.

We used to get this functionality for free when it was using Windows Media Player for audio playback. It no longer uses this, so we dont have access to this function.

I would like it to play CDs, so it probably well return at some stage, but I'm not sure exactly when.

OK. Thanks. Thats good enough, for now.
I would like to see other improvements on the music library as well, so I'll wait for small happy surprises in future releases then. Wink

can't you just add .cda as a playable file ext. and then click on them in video library? [add cd drive root to dirs]

ahh...found the needed extra...
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...e_id=84799
allows skipping and everything...

1. download cdda reader ds filter, run regsvr32 cddareader.ax
2. edit config.xml <VideoLibraryExtensions> section to include .cda
3. add cdrom drive root to video library dirs in config.exe

and viola! cdrom plays from video library, with timeline and skipability...

That sounds a lot tidier way, I had autoplay Mediaplayer for Audio CD's only on the CD and programmed the Remote so I could control and then exit mediaplayer with the remote.

No, I'm not able to include this filter with GB-PVR's install. The license it is distributed under would cause me legal problems.

I thought I would give it a try in the Audio Libray and it works great there too. This will make the wife happy until sub can get it working in the regular install.
