Pvrx2 custom tasks

Can I use 'custom tasks' in pvrx2? I tried to set one up, but it will not show up in the menu. I never did try to set it up in GBPVR, I would hate to go back to gbpvr after seeing pvrx2!

Once you've entered it, and ok'd out of config app, go back in, and then the custom task should show up in the plugins list - I think you then have to enable it.

I set up a custom task to use IE but it opens behind the pvrx2 screen. pvrx2 goes out of focus and IE is selected on the taskbar so I would think it should be on top. Any thoughts?

i found when using FSE (fullscreen exlusive) custom tasks doesnt work
which sort of makes sense
you could try hide gbpvr while using custom task its in config panel where you added the custom task

Is there a way to solve this?
Any other video option gives video tearing so I must use full screen exclusive

Sorry, I dont think there is anything easy I do about this when you're using the FSE renderer option.

I read that EVR is included in .Net 3 so installing that should give you EVR. I'm in the same boat as you with the fullscreen exclusive. I get tearing with any other renderer, but beautiful playback with fullscreen exclusive. I use Media Player Classic for playing DVD's because it works better for me than GBPVR's internal DVD player. This is my setup:

I have the DVD button under plugins disabled.
I have a "Custom Plugin" setup that runs the batch file "playdvd.bat"
The playdvd.bat file is setup as follows:

taskkill /F /IM "pvrx2_main.exe"
c:\progra~1\mpc\mpc.exe E:
start c:\progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\pvrx2_main.exe

1) The first line kills GBPVR.

The TASKKILL function is inherent in XP. I have two copies of the pvrx2 executable - the main one "pvrx2.exe" and a copy called "pvrx2_main.exe". I use the "_main" version to launch GBPVR, which launches the standard "pvrx2.exe" for the MVP process. I do this because TASKKILL kills all instances of the process name passed to it, so if I run taskkill "pvrx2.exe" it will kill the main GBPVR along with the MVP processes.

2) The second line launches Media Player Classic and waits for the process to complete.

3) The third line executes once Media Player Classic closes, relaunching GBPVR.

The "start" command is used to relaunch GBPVR because it launches gbpvr and closes the batch file. Without the start command, gbpvr would launch, but the batch file would remain open until gbpvr exited. Not a big problem really, but it's cleaner to me.
