I'm having a few problems trying to get channel logos to display correctly. I downloaded the ChannelLogo Tool and used it to find logos for all of my configured channels (OTA HD). I then mapped each channel to it's respective logo, and then exported the mappings to GBPvr.

I modified the config.xml file to set the ChannelHeader value to "3" so that it would display the logos in the TV Guide. When I tried it out, only about half the channels displayed logos, the others were blank. Does anyone know what file this mapping is defined in? I'm not sure where to look to see why the other channel logos are not displaying. I double checked to make sure I selected the correct logos and channels in the ChannelLogo tool and everything looked good.

Second question. If and when I get all logos to display, is there anyway to display logos only without the name of the channel next to it?

You have to make sure the names of the logos, eg NBC.jpg match the channel names.

I'd love to know how to display just logos too, not logo and channel name, seems to take up extra space id like to save. 'TV Listings' plugin does this by default though.
GBPVR: A64 X2 6000+, ASUS M2A-VM HDMI, 4GB ram, 8800GT GFX, 2x Nova-T DVB-T, 1x D-Box2 Cable reciever, 2x Wired MVP's, 1.0.16. Vista.
Plugins: MusicLibrary2, Weather, Int Cinema Listings, Burn DVDX2, D-Box2 Plugin, DVD Ripper.

Thanks for the quick response! That solved the problem. For some reason, some of the channel names have the channel number included, others do not. Are you using the TV Listings plugin? Maybe I'll give it a try.

I took a quick look at the TV Listings plugin. Very nice - except it doesn't appear that you can get any of the extra information displayed if you are using Schedules Direct for an epg source. Does anyone know if this is possible?

You can use UltraXMLTV got get all the extra information added to your TV Listings.

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/UltraXMLTV

You can use this in conjuction with your grabber to update the xml tv listing file. Use this in your UpdateEpg.bat file.

You can also use the ProgramImage Tool to download the images of the tv shows.

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...mImageTool

When you're using your guide, it will pull up the picture if it exists, which is usually found in the media/art folder. Use this in your PostUpdateEPG.bat file.

Thanks for the help. Do you know if this be used with Schedules Direct? I'm not even sure where the epg data is stored - I did an update and then tried to find any new files in the GBPvr directory and couldn't seem to find it.

There is intructions on how to save the temp file created by Schedules Direct, which im pretty sure can be used with UltraXMLTV. But I doubt that anyone has do this before. In fact, it is not recommended to use this grabber with UltraXMLTV.

Your only option, if you really need the extra stuff, is to use another grabber.

Late to the party, sorry. But if you have an account with Schedules Direct, you can still use the XMLTV grabber from the wiki, and then you can process the file with UltraXMLTV Enhancer.

And to be clear you can't enhance the Schedules Direct Data that is downloaded natively and then saved to the hard drive. It has to be another grabber... http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/Xmltv

Thanks for the tips. I had pretty much given up on the idea, but after your post decided to give it another try. Looking thru some of the XMLTV documentation on the wiki, I came across I-XMLTV which is an XMLTV grabber specifically for SchedulesDirect. Installing and getting it to work was a piece of cake.

I did run into one problem, though, that I'm wondering if it is common to all the TV Guide Enhancer utilities. After the install, I did indeed get stars (asterisk) next to the programs which were new. However, these programs did not show up in the pending recordings list even though the show was defined as a recurring recording. For example, before installing I-XMLTV, I created a recurring event for the show Lost. After the install, all episodes of Lost that were reruns (no asterisk) were scheduled to record, but those with an asterisk were not. If I then scheduled a recurring event for Lost*, then they both showed up in the pending list. It's almost as if Lost and Lost* are treated as two separate shows.

I am intending sometime soon to also try the standard XMLTV grabber along with the UltraXMLTV Enhancer utility, and was wondering if anyone knows whether this combination would end up having the same problem.

Uh, they are. At least as far as GBPVR are concerned. That's the beauty of using I-XMLTV. If you use "record all episodes on this channel" for an asterisked (new) program, then it will only record the new episodes - if it's re-run several times that week it won't record the reruns. It also will record the episode if it moves timeslots and/or days.

In your example, it will record Lost* (new episode) anytime that it shows up, but it won't record Lost (rerun).

You should delete all pending recordings for Lost and set up recurring recordings for Lost*.
