EDIT -- IF ANYONE GETS COMPRO VIDEOMATE T220 DVB-T CARD WORKING WITH GB-PVR PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD SAYING HOW YOU GOT IT WORKING PLEASE. MANY THANKS. -- END EDIT
GB-PVR v1.1.5, running on Win XP SP2.
London, UK, Freeview with TV arial, Crystal Palace transmitter selected.
Compro Videomate T220 DVB-T card works with other software (but the bundled software is not very good). Also working with MediaPortal software.
My TV DVB-T card is a Compro Videomate T220 which is 'unsupported' but using the wiki guide and the graph edit utility I constructed my own entry for the bda.ini file. I've appended the entry created to the bottom of this post. In the configuration dialog 'Capture Source' tab, it accepts my entry with no complaints and finds it with 'show only devices connected to this machine'.
My problem is with 'map digital channels to EPG channels'. The scanning process appears to work fine, varying values of Strength/Quality (EG. 145/55, 199/46) but I'd guess that's normal.
At the end of the scan I'm faced with a list of 'Channels found in the scan', all of which are labelled 'unknown' followed by a number between 1 and 4. Here's a screen capture -below- is this normal? The other DVB-T software I've tried gets channel names at the scan stage.
I am unable to even start the channel mapping because the preview window fails to display any video at all. To try and fix this I changed the 'MPV Decoder Filter' in the 'Software MPEG-2 Playback' list box of the 'Playback' tab to 'InterVideo video decoder' and to 'System default', and to 'Nero video decoder' none of which worked - though it just occured to me only with 'Intervideo' did I hit 'ok' and return to the config utility later - so maybe the other settings were never actually registered by the software when attempting to render the preview window.
Unfortunately I now have no idea what my next step should be, and can not find any forum discussion about my Compro Videomate T220 DVB-T card. Please advise me on what steps I should now take.
Many thanks, regards, etc..
