Font size too big?

Hi, I'm sure this is a commonly-addressed problem, but I searched and couldn't find any relevant threads.

Pretty much, my issue is that the default font size often times seems bigger than the program expects. Even on the main menu in the default skin, the words "Search Guide" must omit the "e" to fit, and "Photo Library" just reads "Photo Libra."
I could live with these, but the biggest issue is when a show's name doesn't fit, or worse yet when the description of the episode gets cut off half way through.
Is this font issue normal? Is there any way to fix it?

Thanks,
Ross

Are you using GBPVR.exe or PVRX2.exe?

I am using the basic GBPVR.exe. It appears this way on BOTH my home pc and my htpc.

It looks like this:

That is because you've configured Windows to use Large fonts and GBPVR was designed for normal sized fonts. The newer PVRX2 doesnt care what size fonts you have configured.

I actually have "Normal" sized fonts set for both computers (well I have "extra large" usually set on the htpc, but changed it to "normal" to test) and it looks the same regardless.
x2 doesn't seem to like to run on my computer... when I run it, it just starts using up half of my processing power and grinds my computer to a near-halt. It has an icon in the taskbar, but doesn't load a gui or anything.

I seem to have resolved this issue myself-- turns out that a skin was not set for x2 and it was freaking out on startup because it couldn't find any of the files it was looking for.

In fact PVRX2 does have the odd font-related problem: see my post "Texts to big for their windows"

I just looked at your other thread, and I didnt see anything that made me think PVRX2 had any font problem. It did mention a problem with GBPVRTray.exe, but this is an entirely separate application (created back in the GBPVR.exe days).
