I have two tuners, one analog (PVR-250) and one digital (OnAir USB HDTV GT (QAM)). I have the digital channels also set up for the analog tuner so we can record two shows at once. Last night my wife had American Idol set to record at 8:00 (7:58) and I also set Lost to record at 8:00 (both shows are on channels that are set up for digital and analog) but I set the pre-padding to 3 minutes (7:57) to make sure it got the digital tuner (HD) first. I have the digital tuner listed first so it has priority. Lost started recording like it should have at 7:57 but when American Idol started it took over the digital tuner. I don't have the log since I made a change to the config and the log file was reset. But I did see a line in the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log before it was reset showing:

VERBOSE BDASubmitTuningRequestAlways is true. Forcing...

Could this be to blame for taking over the recording?

Any ideas why it didn't drop to the analog tuner?

I can set up a test and post the log if needed.

see patch in post 6 of this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31140

Since I applied the patch, the full show is recorded. The only oddity I noticed is that even though my pre and post padding is set for 2 minutes each, when I record from searchwiz, it shows post padding of -5 which I manually change to make sure I don't lose the last 5 minutes simply because I record from searchwiz (I haven't checked to see if it would really happen)
