Hi all!

I just switched TV providers from direct analog cable to IPTV via a set-top-box.

I found the new provider (ATT UVerse, for what it's worth) in the schedules direct listings for my area. In Config, I did the following:

1. Capture Sources
2. Select capture device
3. Edit
4. Empty EPG
5. Update EPG

After this, the channel list contained channels from both the old and new providers.

I used the "Remove" button on all channels on the list.

"update EPG" again and now only the new channels are displayed. Also all the channels have the appropriate channel number for that channel.

Hit "OK".

Now, on the "Channels" tab there are channels that are have the wrong channel number for my listings. And there are channels that would have been correct on the previous provider, but are wrong on the current provider.

Is there a way to force GBPVR to reload this list of channels so that it matches the list downloaded for the EPG?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you've changed providers and have a really different channel list, then you're probably best to delete you capture sources and recreate them.

I am having a similar issue, so I have removed all my capture sources but I still have 9 channels in the Channels tab. Clicking remove unreferenced channels doesnt appear to do much either.

Ahhhh.....its beacuse I have recordings with the old channel names in.

SO I havent switched provider but I have switched from DB EPG to XML, and the naming is slightly different. BBC1 vs BBC ONE.

But because I have recordings from the old names they still show up in the channel list even with no capture sources configed.

Even by deleting a recording they dont go away unless I configure a device, add the new channels then remove the device. A pain!

Sub, any way around this, or a way to update my recordings with the new channel titles?

I don't use it, but if you're using Birtles xmltvgui and getting listings from the RadioTimes, I think one of the processors is to correct Radio Times names into DVB names??

Try this. It will take care of your change in lineups...
