PVRx2 vs GBPVR & HVR-1600

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 tuner card installed in a system with an 128 MB NVidea video card and Intel P-IV 2.8Ghz processor with 1 Gb Ram. I've installed GBPVR V1.1.5

When using the PVRx2 application on the task bar, Video from the Live TV plays at irregular speeds. It will burst at something close to twice normal speed, then slow to half normal speed, then repeat. Audio is fine and clear. This problem is not apparent when using the GBPVR application from the Start menu. I have tried numerous settings, to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a fix?

Apparently no help can be had here?

It looks like there is a problem with VMR9 that causes the PVRx2 application to display an erratic video stream.

NVidea video card of 128 Mb and updated drivers, Hauppauge HVR-1600, SATA hard drive, DirectX9 installed, on a WinXP computer of 2.8 Ghz.

I'll have to try the new release to see if it cures the problem.

I've not seen other reports of this. Have you tried other video decoders? Alternatively it could be a sign of your PC having DMA problems.
