I am considering making a special setting for Comskip that will allow processing at double speed, this could be of relevance for HD recordings but it may also work for SD.
Is there any interest?

I would like that, but what is the trade off for this added speed?

YES! YES! YES!! Please!

I'd even trade some accuracy for that.

Hi, Erik. Speed is good, especially for the bigger HD files to come. But I must be a cynic, too, as surely there must be a trade off?

I must have a good comskip.ini for NZ TV1 as my commonly recorded shows are cutting very accurately. Just watched an hour show and every ad was hit perfectly. Thanks, again, for your great program.

Interested....yes. I am assuming one could toggle this setting in case it wasn't working well (or accurate enough) for some users?

yes, yes! any ideas what method you'll use? discarding either lines or frames?
i prefer lines cuz there's way more than enough already with HD content..Smile
[does seem to be more accurate on HD material tho..]

just skip decoding every other line should do, or skip every other 'field' same thing...[for interlaced shows] [not sure how to do progressive]
but yea would be nice to be able to keep up with tv...mine gets clogged still processing previous shows....

Yeah, I'd be interested for both SD and HD, which we have just got here!
