When recording DVB, I would like to save the complete transport stream, including the DVB subtitles. However it seems that these are being stripped from the stream. Both ProjectX and VLC say they are there, but they seem to be empty.

When I look at the last bda.grf, it shows that only the video and audio are being saved to the .ts file (see the screendump of this graph is included in the attached zip).

I am using v1.1.5 with the GBPVRRecordingService.exe and GBPVRBackendCommon.dll patch from Nov.13. All the subtitle options in the config program are enabled.

Any ideas?

I just noticed, there is also another issue present in this log file. The last recording in the log file didn't happen, only a 0 byte .ts file was created. The other recordings in the log file are OK.

OK.

I haven't been able to get DVB subtitles to work in Live TV either. Is this also because it isn't implemented?

I know we a just a minority, but dvb subtitle support must be the most eagerly awaited feature in Denmark.

I for one would certainly show my appreciation it it turned up Smile

Yes please! Would like DVB subs too. (got to stop bugging you for thisBig Grin )
Do you have a time frame for this fix?

BTW, new verion installed with out any prob. Great.

Do I understand right that the fix for Multidec will allow me to have 2 DVBS cards and one phoenix reder/newcs/yank** and be able to watch one channel/record another but not record 2 at the same time?

Thnx

Unfortunately I havnt even thought about DVB Subtitles, so I cant give a timeframe. We dont have them in this part of the world, so its really painful for me to develop and test this functionality. It is still on my list to do though. (I know its been pretty much forever you've been asking for this - one day I'll surprise you Big Grin )

In the most recent release, with the new 'out of process recording' feature, there is no limitation. Assuming your machine can decode this many streams in realtime, you could have (for example) 5 DVB-S cards all talking your newcs card server...one for live tv, four recording, or all five recording.

Thanks, let me know if I can be of assistance, by recoding ts streams etc.

Great, have to test this! When you mean decode in realtime, do you mean having a powerfull enough 'puter?

When I said "decode", I meant "decrypt". It can be pretty hard on a PC to decrypt several streams. Fast computers should be fine though.
