Guys,

I have ctrl-z working for lowering the volume. Give it a try and see what happens. I just entered it exactly the way you see it.

Guys, the problem is caused by a missing buttons from the config file, I intend to submitt an updated file soon with more buttons. I have updated config file but its not working 100% yet, but I expect this to be working soon. I am also working on getting other buttons such as the mute button working also (to which GB does not seem to have a keyboard alternative).

In the interim if you use GB change volume up and volume down buttons, you need to add these manually using the setup and the appropiate keys.

I have attached an updated config file to which the volume should work. I have not tested as my environment is different to most, can someone please test it for me.

I looked at your file. It's exactly what I had tried. the key combos are not changing the volume because GB-PVR isn't doing anything with them. There's not even an OSD...

I'm not worried, I haven't even considered it a bug, as I understand direct soundcard control is coming soon...

thank zedh.

I have some interesting findings.

The ^z and ^x dont seem to work in either video or music mode.

the left and right buttons change volume up and down in video mode.

This seems to be inconsistent behaviour with what is in the wiki. Refer http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...eyMappings & http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manua...dReference Any ideas as to the cause. It is do with the setting the volume to master volume in the GB config?

I also tried getting the mute button to work without success. I used a class of WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d as described in http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/...rdware.HIP & http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Tips/gbp..._codes.zip with parameters of message=32771 and wparam=173. Any ideas why this didnt work?

What next?

I also noted that the ^z and ^x dont appear to be defined in the keymapping xml under the keymapping directory in gb.

for TV and video - ^m is used for mute! left/right & +/- are used volume down/volume up

for DVD - ^m for mute and +/- for volume up and down. left and right and used for left and right

I cant find a reference to volume control for music.

Does anyone know which xml file is used for the music player?:o

Guys,

I don't know if anyone tried, but try using 'ctrl-z'. It really does lower the volume. You have to use it as exactly like 'ctrl-z' not '^z'.

which is weird cause the help (which seems sgtraight from MSDN's guide to SendKeys) says to use the convention. In theory, ctrl shouldn't work. Oh well Gonna try

Wow, I really like this program. It was easy to set up and use right away.
I'm really only using it to control my STB, so I haven't played around with the other commands for sound and the like yet.
