When i record programs the .mpg file is produced but the file size is 0 bytes.  It seems GB-PVR is accessing the file because it cannot be opened during recording (as i would expect) but nothing is getting written to it.  Has anyone else had this problem? I searched and found people had suffered from recording finishing early, but not this problem.

Windows XP Pro, Nova-T PCI, whatever the latest software is to download.  Other than this issue i am extremely impressed, as soon as i make a long enough network cable i will be using my mvp with it.  Looking forward to that quite a lot, seeing what it can do.

Anyway anyone got any suggestions with how i can fix this?

Thanks, andy.

How about live TV? That produce a zero byte file? Do you have AV running? Disable it and try again. Does gb-pvr run as administrator? Does the user it runs as have write perms to the folder. All the above has tripped someone up before. When you search select "the beggining" not just this month or this year. Come back and tell us if you fixed it with the above or its something new

fray_bentos, zip and email your log files to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

You do have either the CyberLink or Intervideo mux installed right?

I assume that when you go to 'Map digital channels to EPG channels', you can see and hear TV in the preview panel?

What mpeg mux are you using?

I was using AVG Anti-virus but i've disabled that and no joy.  The program runs from my account and i am the computer administrator.  I guess it may be the mpgmux file, i noticed that in another post someone mention version 5.? and i am only using 1.1.1.21, which is in the system32 directory and was registered using "regsvr32 MpgMux.dll".  That was downlaoded form the net (ulead.com i think) after i tried both PowerDVD version 4 and WinDVD 3.1 but neither seemed to have the mpgmux file.
Right yeah that was it, the mpgmux file, i had only managed to find the mpgmux.dll but i found mpgmux.ax at http://www.digtv.no-ip.com/temp/  so after registering that using the method i did above it works [Image: smile.gif]

Thank you for youre replies, i had assumed the file was ok after i had managed to get channels even though it gave me a warning when i searched for channels.  Anyway its all fixed now i believe.  Thanks for such a good program.
