PNY 7600GS installed on my bedroom machine (8600GTS on HTPC) and it accelerates OTA HD content quite nicely with Purevideo in PVRX2. In fact, without DVXA, the machine pegs at 100% cpu (2.8 P4 OC 3.02) and drops a lot of frames and audio is sporadic.

I am very interested in the subject, but I don't know what to use to measure GPU and CPU speed of each core separately (or performance in %). What software are you using for that and where can I get it?
Thanks.

I don't want to cross post so I will paste a link: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=34082&page=5 near the bottom of the page.

This is where I discuss some recent weirdness. I was able to get the avivo codec running in overlay mode to use only 12% CPU on a 1080i video! How is that possible? Cyberlink wouldn't do that. Is overlay mode degrading the video somehow in order to get to such nice utilization?
