When I'm in Live TV, and I want to view channel 11, for example, the remote sends out two '1' . Eventghost had this problem too, until it got a cache or buffer or something that would store all the keys pressed and then send the combined string...

Example {1}{1} is different then {11}

Anyway, I'm too busy to go straight to that forum with this. I'll keep watching and see if there's a fix. Until then I'll use HIP

Zehd-I am a little confused. I use IR Server Suite with a Dish STB and it works great. I don't have a channel 11, but if I did I would type 1 1 on the remote to the dish box to get 11. How would you tune channel 11 on a TV?

I just mean a mulitple number. A sat may have a channel of 300 > 3 0 0

Anyway, I know that it would work for you. Because the IRblast program sends out one number per key press of the remote.

Unfortunately, when GB-PVR does not use a STB and does not require a IRBlast, Then the TV Guide requires the number sent as one unit, rather than one key at a time...

I've been using IRServer since I read this thread. I recently discovered that my system wasn't detecting the number key presses.

I changed the numbers to be input as just numbers, rather than {num0} or {num1} and it works fine now.

Hi all,

tearing my hair out, what's left of it. Moved house recently and had to ditch DVB-T as had no signal. Been using GBPVR in old house with this set up for a few years, no problem.

Now all I can get is DVB-S but here in UK some basic channels are encrypted. Decided best option was for a couple of Satellite Boxes with paid for cards in, running to a pair of PVR 150's. I've tried Girder (too much!) and HIP (too complex for my basic needs), I never got either of these working properly. Now I've found IR Server.

Looks brilliant, easy interface etc. I've followed all the instructions as per the WIKI. Done registry changes no problem and my Hauppauge/MCE Remote on the server running GBPVR.

HOWEVER I have 'learnt the IR commands for one STB' within IR Server. I run the test it shows as a command to the STB, no problem.

I have set the channel changer within GBPVR BUT if I change channels within PVRX2 there is no change to my STB (even though I can see the IR flash to the STB). I know I must have missed something obvious, can anyone tell me what I've missed

Cheers

Hi all,

if anyone can help me I would be most pleased Smile

As per my previous posts I think IR Server Suite is absolutely brilliant in terms of look/feel/ease of use etc.

I really want this to work for me but after a whole fresh install of everything (I mean EVERYTHING) GBPVR etc. I still have the same problem and would just like to know where I may be going wrong as some GBPVR users seem to have this working flawlessly.

I am using the native ehome infrared drivers and have made the registry changes as suggested.

All works fine with my MCE Remote directly with PVRX2 using IR Server Suite UNTIL I try and change channels via the blaster to my STB.

IR Translator has learned my commands (0-9) successfully.

However it is all hit and miss, sometimes it blasts the channels absolutely perfectly to my STB, next minute it may only send one channel number command out of three.

I am guessing that this is a bug with the program but just wanted to know if anyone could offer any other suggestions?

Cheers

Hiya anyone ,

for those of you that may be following this thread I now seem to have found a solution:

According to the WIKI I followed the links and took the version of IR Server Suite Mentioned. This was the one that gave problems, the link gives other Version Options available. I now (fingers crossed) seem to have IR Server Suite working flawlessly with my STB (I'm using v 1.0.4.2 preview 3).

A very nice piece of software for IR Blasting I have to say!

Cheers

I have been using IR Server Suite since March and it works great, except for one little problem. The service shuts down at random times. Up till now, no big deal, I just open the input service config to restart it. However, now I just set up a client, and can't use that trick. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried setting the service to restart on stop in control pannel/admin/services, but it still does it. I am using the regular ehome drivers with the reg mode. Maybe the replacement drivers?
I am going to the Mediaportal forum to see what I can find, but thought I'd post here first.

Well, I think I might have solved my problem with IR Server shutting down. I run on MCE, and And81 is posting all over about this problem on the MediaPortal forum. He is saying he is going to disable the MCE services thinking that is knocking out IR Server. So, I went in and shut down the services for MCE (Recording and Scheduling) yesterday and haven't had a problem since!! Might be worth a try for someone else.
