microsoft .net 2.0 beta

is their any way i can install this. i am useing .net 2.0 beta framework. when i install it gives me a message saying i dont have version 1.1 and then it refuses to let me install. other programs i have that require .net 1.1 work fine with .net 2.0 beta.

Honestly I dont know. I dont have the .net framework 2.0 beta on my machine so I've never tried. It may just be the installer getting in the way.

im pretty sure its just the installer. i have the .net 2.0 beta frame work installed instead of the 1.1 because i need it to run visual web developer 2005 beta. is their any way i can try without the installer. like download a zip or something

I dont have anything pre-prepared, so you'll probably just need to find another machine you can install it on, then copy c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr over. regsvr32 the *.ax files. Run 'Installutil /install GBPVRRecordingService.exe', and copy the registry settings from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\devnz

i think ill wait to try that tommrow. im not even sure if it will work with my tv tuner card or anything. im hopeing it will tho. i have the ati tv wonder pro remote control edition. its a good card but their software is crap. thanks for the quick replys too

No, sorry - it wont work with that card.

Sub - It looks like you have a launch condition in the installer that checks for a specific version of dotnet (v1.1.4322). In your next release you could change it to look for that version or higher.

It is set to require a minimum version of 1.1.4322. I'm not really that concerned about the .net 2.0 framework until its out of beta.
