Audio, No Video

I am having problems after with GBPVR. It only started a week or two ago, get fine audio, black screen. I just finished downloading 1.2.9, but same issue.

My system is: 2.60 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4; 1.2GB memory; NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X; Windows XP Home SP2; Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx).

Any help would be appreciated.

Reproduce the problem and zip and post your pvrx2*.log files.

You'll need to set the logging level back to 'debug' then reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

What video decoder options do you have listed on the playback tab, and have you tried all available options?

system default and mpeb video decoder. tried both. had no problems with it a few weeks ago. can't think of anything that changed. dug through a few other posts, saw maybe a need for a driver from nvidia, downloaded that, but no change.

I'm pretty sure its caused by this 'mpeg video decoder' causing problems, and it is currently the only video decoder on your machine. Try installing and using another decoder like http://sourceforge.net/projects/gplmpgdec/

that was it sub. thanks. not sure why the other failed, but so far, this looks ok. are there differences on the decoders? if i have a sports show on, the clarity is gone. think the last version i had, prior to pvrx2, was more clear. anyway, thanks for getting the video back.

Yes, different decoders look different. Try other decoders until you find one that best suits your TV and eyes.
