Strange problem mapping using Digital Channel Mapping

Hi

I've successfully used GB-PVR with my PVR-150 and HVR-4000 on analog TV and DVB-S. Now Freeview has started I've been getting the DVB-T running.

I've installed DVD8 and the monogram codec for H.264 etc.

Everything is good when I scan. It finds
TVOne
TV2
TVNZ6
TVNZ7
TVNZ SPORT EXTRA
TV3
C4
Maori Television
Parliament
....
Freeview | HD

When I select channels in the "Channels Found During Scan" list I can easily swap between TVOne, TV2, TV3 as many times as I like. No problems. When I choose another channel like C4 I get sound for a couple of seconds (no picture) and then it hangs. Task Manager is needed to stop GB-PVR Configuration. The same thing happens if I use PVRX2 to select channels.

BTW I have a GT 8500 card and the hardware acceleration seems to be working fine. < 15% CPU load.

Any ideas? Logs attached.

Sorry, I'm not really sure. Everything in the logs looks fine.

I have worked out what the difference between the channels that work and the ones that don't.

TVOne,TV2, TV3, Freeview | HD are all in HD. These work!
C4, Maori Television, TZ6 .... are NOT HD. These don't work.

Any idea what is wrong wih configuation?

Nothing springs to mind.

I have no problems switching to these channels.

One more clue I've found.
It works if I set the video renderer to 'overlay manager'. I can see and hear the SD channels. The problem is channel changing is horrendous. The video and audio cut in and out, and out of synch, for a few seconds then it miraculously comes right.
So I assume there must be something wrong with VMR9 Custom etc. It used to work fine with DVB-S and analog.

I'm using VMR9 Custom here and not seeing this here,

All I can really think to suggest is either trying a different H.264 video decoder, or try disabling hardware acceleration in the current H.264 video decoder.

Thanks Sub, that last suggestion did the trick.

I downloaded the twinhan version. Mentioned in this thread.

Ater the quick install. Selected this decoder and the problems went away. Everything works properly now.

Why did I have this problem? Maybe it was because I uninstalled PowerDVD 7 Ultra and then installed PowerDVD 8. Teh installation looked fine, but maybe it wasn't. Anyhow the Twinhan install worked.
