Integration with Gyration Universal Remote

I've got a Gyration Universal Remote control http://www.gyration.com/en-US/ProductDet...&accshow=3

It works with gbpvr, however not all the keys map exactly. Is there a way to change key mappings in gbpvr to match? The remote does not come with software, it installs like a keyboard.

You can probably try tweaking the files in the 'keymapping' directory, but really it'd be better if you could tweak the keys at the Gyration end. (you'll be having to update these files with every release etc)

if it installs like a key board maybe hip would work i think there is a setting saying use key board

The Gyration remote uses the native USB HID drivers to allow input from the RF dongle. I haven't seen anyone use HIP or similar IR control software successfully with this remote (please correct me if wrong). If anyone had a keymap (i.e. snoop the key codes) of the Gyration remote, then I would think that you should be able to edit the gbpvr config to accept the media shortcuts and "green button".

Thoughts?

I was thinking of buying this remote. What keys don't map? Does that make it hard to use?
