Is anyone having issues with the folder.jpg files being deleted when you delete a show in that same folder? This just started to happen when I upgraded to the latest version or GB-PVR and Miro (I use Miro to D/L IPTV content). I'm also using the xRecord plug-in.

thanks

theres a setting called something like delete other extensions recordings in the config.xml file.

It probably has .jpg in there...use an editor (not notepad as it can cause problems with this file) and edit it and remove the jpg if there,.

Still no good. I found the delete line in the config.xml which had .jpg in it. Removed the .jpg and restarted GB-PVR... I'm still having the same problem. Any-time I delete one of the shows, the folder.jpg is removed along with that single deleted show... I'm going to try and convert them to BMP to see if I have the same problem. I'll keep ya posted.

tnx

UPDATE: Seems that folder.bmp doesn't do anything... I thought we could upse jpg or bmp, guess now...

I'm pretty sure there is nothing GB-PVR itself that would delete folder.jpg files.

Thanks Sub, I'm suspecting it is something with the xRecord plugin. If I get some time today or tomorrow, I will try and use the native program browser and see what I get. I'll post my results.

tnx

Yes XRecord does cleanup a bunch of stuff when deleting. There's a thread about it and people usually ask for more stuff to be deleted. It's not configurable, XRecord has always done this.

Fla,
I'm assuming you are the owner of this plug-in? (Very nice work, I've been using xRecord for a few years now!) So, you delete the folder.jpg every time a single show is deleted? What happens when there are more than one show / episode in a folder? If you watch a show weekly, wouldn't you want the same icon each week for the new episodes? It does'nt make sense to remove folder.jpg... does it?? I could be missing something...

thanks.

The folder.jpg file is the more temporary location for show posters. If you use the ProgramImageTool utility directly or through XRecord's front end to ProgramImageTool as mentionned here, you won't lose the posters when you delete shows. From memory I think they are stored in gbpvr\media\art.

Jorm and KingArgyle wrote XSuite. I've been debugging, adding to, maintaining it for a while which has consumed a surprising amount of time.

Its definitely not a good idea to use "folder.jpg" as a temporary file name, or to delete this file. GB-PVR uses it all over the place, in the Recordings screen and the Music/Video/Picture libraries.
