"nr servers 2" makes very slow MVP connect

In preparation for playing with PCH I bumped the nr of MVP servers to 2 so that I can continue using the main MVP and also the PCH.

I find when doing this that turning the MVP "on" (from standby) the "connecting to servers" takes about 5 minutes to connect.
With servers set to 1, it is much quicker, about 10 seconds.

Sorry, no logs at present - logging to 'error' to locate news ticker hickups and MVP in use by others for a few hours.


I'm just wondering if others have seen this?

Definitely not in my case with various mvps running mvpmc and pch's running mvpmcx2.

Thanks for that Martin, I'll have to dig a little deeper.
Just a thought that I should have mentioned maybe - I'm still using the 1.2.9 distribution version of pvrx2 as I've had to pause the PCH installation - I guess you're using a much later version, I'll try to find time over the weekend to follow the threads for the latest versions. Sorry, but I have to admit to still using the dongle supplied with 1.2.9

I run 2 MVP's with the mvpmc dongle. Both of my MVP's start loading the dongle nearly instantly when brought out of standby. Unless my server has to wake up from standby, I usually see the GBPVR menu within 15 seconds or so after hitting the power button on the remote.

OK thanks for that both. I'll try the mvpmc dongle first and then if that doesn't sort it out, see if the logs show anything..

This used to be slower on my old PIII 1.2GHz, now very quick.
