Thankfully, I've no systems running that but IMO, it was the worst OS ever! You can give it a try and see what happens but don't hold out for much. Out of curiosity, I'd like to know what happens when you try it.

Some general requirements here include Windows Media Player (9 or 10) and .NET 2.0. Best advice is to try it and see.

I'd be interested also.
I have a copy floating around somewhere in the bottom of a deep box in the back of a closet. I just couldn't bring myself to throw away such a shiny disk. I fdisk'd that install after the first week & bought windows 2000.

I tried it and it says I need to update my service pack before it even installs...OH well...I guess I'll buy sage!

You would be better off buying Windows XP. IMO, Microsoft should be forced to pay out to anyone who ever experienced the headache that was Windows ME.

I am going to go ahead and agree with whurlston. ME was a tragedy. I think your investment would be better spent on a useful version of windows (or just go online and find a win 2000 pro install cd, and key, since it does not require activation )

I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

I have never felt so ripped off in my life after paying for the ME update to win98. It was truely terrible.
if you are building a HTPC, you want a reliable OS with full driver support for modern tuners etc. ME doesn't cut it, not by a long way. (so I think that's a no vote for ME then!)
