Question: The output from the card is just a small circular connector with about 5-7 or so pings around the edge, and I have a cable that converts this so just 1xRCA for the video in. Is this OK? It has a DVI output too however I don't have a DVI on my TV(CRT).
Do you mean a 4 pin s-video --> rca connection?

If so, I have never seen composite look any good. Do you not have a scart input on the tv so that you could use an svideo --> scart cable? The picture will be much better (as long as the tv accepts s-video input on scart, otherwise you will get a B&W image)
