Forgot to say, for the most up to date view of when Five will be FTA (and anything else freesat related), I'd recommend The Digital Spy Forums - there's a freesat one under satellite.

I can't seem to get BBC3/CBBC or BBC4/CBEEBIES does anyone have the cache entries for these on Astra 2D?

The picture you end up seeing on the screen is generated by your video decoder and presented on the screen by the Microsoft video renderer using your videocard. If the picture looks different now, it was one of those things that have changed, so most likely your ATI driver.

Thanks for the reply. I concluded after I sent the above that it must be the ATI driver as sitting directly infront of the 42" tv messing with the config windows looks sh*ter than it used to to, so nothing to do with GBPVR. Will have to try and remove the ATI driver and find one that works.... I've stupidly used the latest from AMD and not the mb manufacturer, so maybe that was my big mistake!

Hi all,

Dava, thanks for your scan entries, for me they don't work Sad

Still losing hair over this.....

as for,

Quote:BBC3/CBBC or BBC4/CBEEBIES

try:

T:10773,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2045~P:6317~V:5200~A:5201~L:eng~PMT:271~TXT:5203~PCR:5200~N:>CBBC Channel

T:10773,H,22000,56~NID:32~ONID:2~TSID:2045~P:6318~V:5300~A:5301~L:eng~PMT:270~TXT:5303~PCR:5300~N:>CBeebies

don't forget to remove the spaces :p

For some reason when we post here it adds them!

Anyone else got More4 and E4 with different scan entries?

Thanks Steeb,

I did manage to get them in last night by using the following contorted method:

Fire up the VideoProDTV app that came with the card
Select the channel in question and edit the properties
modify a scancache entry of a nearby channel that gbpvr did find with the new PID, audio and video settings from the other app.

I have been struggling with this for a couple of days and it does seem that gbpvr is leaving gaps in its scan where other apps can see stuff.

I think that I am nearly there now though, I accidentally remapped Channel 4 to the encrypted one and can't see 8350 in my current scan so that is the last thing to fix.

I'm in the US and am not using freesat, but I had some comments about the interlace problems. I also have a 780g motherboard with the HD3200 (two of them now). I believe the combiness may be decoder related. I'm using the latest version of the ATI decoder and my SD looks ok on a 720p LCD in XP using EVR and on my 1680x1050 computer LCD using EVR in Vista Ulitmate. I don't know if they actually changed anything, but there is a version with the same release date as the 8.5 release date (5/21/08 I think). I believe the decoder is in there, but I could be wrong (might just be the encoder). Here is the link: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_cataly...nxavivo-xp

Been away for a few days so just noticed the above - thanks Gazoo - I'll give it a go when the wife stops watching the thing! Smile
