there was a thread similar to this, the resolution was related to updating your config.xml with the correct MAC address and other config information for the PCH

hmmm,it just doesn't seem to wanna work right in component mode...

if i set it as i would think for component, 720p on pch and using -m 720, the menus are small[4:3], video plays wide fine...plus i have to use -o component even tho i have it saved on pch,or screen is scrambled...

works fine on hdmi with 720p and -m 720...

i assume it's just a pch thing with the video mode detection..

plus, how to have net drive access and remote blaster at same time?
what user name is pch accessing gbpvr with?
EDIT: that seems to be fixed with interact with desktop..i think the upgrade to 1.2.13 reset it..Smile

so you got it sorted?

you might want to update your sig... and include your OS while youre at it Wink

pBS, From the few examples I have helped out with here -o component and -m 1080i or 1080p are often better choices. They still run at default 720 resolution. Also there is no -m 720p but that fails back to to SD so you might not see a difference.

I can't help from that log snippet, but if as your sig indicates, you are only running 1.2.9 you aren't protected from a mismatched resoluton between GBPVR and mvpmcx2.

ahh, yea, figured out to set it to 1080i and all was well..
i like it better than hdmi cuz i get a click with hdmi when it transitions to video but also cuz i'm going to be using the pch on a tv that has only component inputs..

yep, using the latest release and xpmce...updated my sig..Smile

i'm still getting some files that won't play thru gbpvr, but will play direct from pch menus.. and there wasn't any resume,it was a first play...
will have to find another and grab the logs..

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080i -o COMPONENT &
with 1080i the color was off so i tried:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720 -o COMPONENT --frequency 60 &
and i get 720p with good color..Big Grin
seems faster on transition from video to menus also..Smile
[no 'negotiation' needed like with hdmi]

i tried -m 720p -o COMPONENT also but menus small..
funny thing was it would give me 720 menus on a 1080 screen if i just used -m 720p instead of using the frequency...
i have 1360 x 720 in config and things look fine...tho probably no difference cuz of that tho..

video even seems a little smoother too...[less artifacts]

hey, will a 16x10 ratio be doable on the pch? that would be sweet...

pBS -m 720p isn't valid it probably goes back to SD

As for 16:10 my monitor is correctly identified already.
HDMI TVStandard from EDID: VESA_1680x1050x60RB, 16x10

What are you really looking for?
