Hi everyone
Thanks to Martin I have been having fun with gbpvr on the popcorn
Just one hassle I cant playback ISO
I added the lines
mkdir /mnt/D:\\iso
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.1/iso /mnt/D:\\iso -o username=root,ro
in the script cgi. Im not sure where to put these two lines but I added them after the echo to telnet started on port23.
I am direct connect from my pc to the popcorn
I added the share folder but nothing happens.
Any thoughts?
Thanks Dave

The best way to test if command are working are to test them first using telnet. You will get errors if the syntax is wrong.

After a proper mount try these commands

1. to see all your DVD folders

ls /mnt/D\:\\iso

2. to see all your DVD contents

find /mnt/D\:\\iso

Personally I would put these lines near the other mount in script.cgi.

Hi Martin
Thanks for all your help
When I use telnet on the popcorn it replies
mkdir cannot create director (I did restart the popcorn but not the Pc)
Then if I move to the pc and use telnet and type in the ls command you gave me it finds the files.
Went back to the popcorn and ran Gbpvr but it just sat there when I clicked on an iso
Thanks
Dave

Compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look.

Dave, the logs say "Unabled to play DVD ISO files on an MVP"

This means that you do have not a <MAC-0006DC4219C2> section in your config.xml setup for a PCH.

Try the MAC address that I suggested, that is what GBPVR is seeing. The command ifconfig in telnet should also confirm this.

Do you have to close it off like this
<MAC-0006DC4219C2>
</MAC-0006DC4219C2>
otherwise an error shows up
I will shutdown and restart all and see what happens

Yes

Restarting the recording service is good enough to load a new config.xml
