I've highlighted this to Sub before but I think he couldn't replicate it and thought it might be my gfx card. I've had the same problem on both a nvidia 6150 (on board) and an 8500GT.

Anyone with a non-nvidia card got this problem?

I'll chime in and say that I have experienced this same menu choppiness as well.

I have it too. I have a machine that goes in and out of S3 standby alot. It's worse right after coming back, but even an hour afterwards it's still there to some extent.

I get it too, but not all the time. It didn't do it when everything was freshly installed either. It's a recent occurrence, within the last month or so. I barely ever restart and the machine is always on. This is with a Radeon X1650 pro.

Come to think of it....it didn't do it when it wasn't summer. Hmmm...... heat related maybe? I dunno.

I don't think it's heat related as it's been happening to me for the last few releases stretching back to cooler times.

Edit: This is with 1.2.9. I'm not using 1.2.13 yet....

ok so when you're bored and curious, you notice things...

I checked taskmanager...pvr2.exe was using 175 megs of memory.

I started a recording, pvrx2.exe was using 199 megs of memory.

Stopped the playback...190 megs of memory.

started the playback again... 204...

stopped 194

started 209

this goes on and on and on. I got it up to about 350 megs before I got bored with my boredom. the stopped and playback memories kept going up 4 and change megs each time.

It didn't used to do this. I never went much over, if at all, 200 megs doing all the whacky stuff I could with pvrx2. Dangit...Now I'm going to need another few gigs of memory so I dont have to restart pvrx2 anymore... I should be able to watch...hmm...750 things before restarting with another 2 gigs of ram Big Grin
