I am still trying to set up GB-PVR (Version 1.2.13) for the first time.

Currently, nothing appears on the TV Guide, either on the "app" version or the online version. However, the "Search Guide" function will correctly locate upcoming shows.

I'm using Windows XP and ScheduleDirect.

Can you see your channels listed in your capture source settings in the config app?

Are you on Vista?

Before I continue, I should mention that when I said the "TV Guide is blank", I meant that the rows showing channels and shows were missing. The date and time appear at top, the way I believe they are supposed to.

The channels are listed but the "Enabled" boxes are unchecked. Weren't they supposed to be checked by default? I just checked them all and clicked OK, but when I went back into the dialog the boxes were unchecked again. The next time I checked them all and pressed "Update EPG" before "OK". After waiting for the "now updating EPG" message to go away, the boxes were unchecked again. I went back to the TV Guide, but it's still blank.

As I said above, I'm on Windows XP.

I discovered something else. As I said before, I can view shows using the Search Guide. However, when I try to record those shows, they get set to record in the time slot of 12:00 AM on January 1, 0001. (Needless to say, thats not when the shows are scheduled to air.)

Can you try searching to see if you have more than one copy of config.xml on your system.

There's one in \Program Files\devnz\GBPVR, and others in directories for unrelated programs.

There are files called "plugin_config.xml" in the five subdirectories of \Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\web\Plugins\

When you have a capture source that uses a digital capture device you have to do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step to do the channel mapping. Any channels not mapped will be automatically disabled (like you decribe above).

When the scan completes you need to click the 'tuning request' next to each channel on the left of the screen to perform the mapping. This show a dropdown list of channels that were found during the scan.

This gives me the following error: "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use. (Reason: Failed to locate configured BDA capture device.)

I don't know what "BDA" means, but after some fiddling I realize that my WinTV-PVR2-USB2 is an analog, not digital, capture device. I selected it in the Recording Source box. It bothers me that I get the message that the card is not detected, but since the channels are listed in this box now I'm going to pick "Update EPG" and see what happens.

Okay, it looks like that worked. I can see the shows on the guide now. If it successfully tapes SATC tonight then I'll try using the EWA. Thanks for your help.
