I've been out of the Gbpvr/Tivo scene for a long time now, due to a my divorce and moving around....... but now I'd like to get back into it, I'm just wondering what is being used for the tv guide now, last I heard, the free ones are gone, or is it all in the newest gbpvr software release ?

thanks

Most north american users have a Schedules Direct subscription. Its $20 a year, but painless and reliable, and directly supported in the app. Alternatively there are xmltv utilities people use to get free listings but they're a bit more work.

Do you know if it gives you a 2 week listing like zap 2 it did or is it less?

Thanks

Dopefish

Many users have good results with Zap2XML http://zap2xml.110mb.com/
It provides 2 weeks of programing and has always worked for me =)

There are other scrapers available such as YApi2XML which has extensive information available in the GBPVR Wiki
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/YApi2XML

However I agree with sub. Schedules direct is probably the easiest option available.

Hope this helps!

Schedules Direct is the exact same service as zap2it in the past, just renamed and paying for the pleasure, so yes it still gives you two weeks of listings.
