Last night, suspiciously close to when I got the web interface working, the mux setting in config seems to have started being ignored.

I have TS mux selected, because this is the only thing that creates reliable recordings at the moment, but I am getting mainly mpeg files created, which are usually broken and jerky.

I have 2 tuner cards and I noticed that one recording this morning has a large TS file and a tiny mpeg file. The show recording currently only has a mpeg file.

My first thought is that the quality setting in the web interface has something to do with this but when I look at the recordings with sqlitespy they all seem that same.

Didn't think this would be relevant, but since you ask:

Xp SP3
GB-PVR v1.2.13
nvidia 8800gts 512
4G RAM
Intel Core2 Duo E6850 3.00GHz
Huappauge HVR4000 x 2
New Zealand DVB-S

Quality in the config and web only relate to analog devices.

this doesn't sound right.

Can you post a gbpvr-recordingService.log and gbpvr-recoridng-service-native.log that shoes a recording happening...

I don't know if it's related but check this thread...

It seems to be to do with TS being used instead of mpeg2 or vice versa (not sure).

Cheers,
Brian

Argh!! I'm late for work, and something is breaking the Manage Attachments button for me, so I can't upload logs right now.

Looking through them though, I found this in BDARemoteDevice.exe-native.log and I remembered that to get the web interface to work I had to repair .NET (found clues about that here somewhere I think)
2008-06-17 08:29:00.921 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: GB-PVR TS Mon
I have just re-registered GBPVR filters and the current recording is making a lovely TS file.

Problem solved before I actually posted this reply. Hopefully this will help someone one day. Sorry I posted without looking at the logs.

The BDARemoteDevice.exe-native.log is if you have "Out Of Process" recording turned on. You shouldn't need that unless you're using MDAPI - which being if AK you're probably not.....

I am not in a position to disagree psycik.

Nevertheless, taking that cue and running C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Re-RegisterFilters.bat appears to have solved the problem. If I could get mpeg recording to work reliably this wouldn't have been an issue, but that's a story for another thread.
