Up and Running - Some initial questions

Ok so I am now using GBPVR in anger to establish whether or not I will stick with it. So far so good.

I have some initial questions I was hoping someone could possibly answer

Screensaver - I do not wish to use the inbuilt screensaver, so, have deselected it. However, the system one (picture slideshow) does not kick in when a video is in pause mode. As I am using a plasma, I must have a screensaver running when paused and the inbuilt one, whilst functional is not quite what I am looking for.

Settings - Running the latest version and when clicking on Settings in the main menu, it flicks to the settings page then immediately back to the main menu. It did not do this on the previous version.

Aspect Ratios - I am used to Meedio where you can select an alternative Aspect Ratio whilst a video is playing, and it could switch between many different ratios. I note with GBPVR you can only select 2 aspect ratios and not whilst a video is playing. Unless I am missing something?

Net Radio - Whichever channel I select it shows buffering at the top of the page, switching between a URL, back and forth but, never eactually plays anything.

Music - Are there any visualisations? Naturally if the external screensaaver would kick in then this would not be an issue.

Skins - I cannot seem to locate a set of skins or how to load them if I could find them. Again, perhaps I am missing something?

Youtube - This no longer appears on the main menu, even though it is ticked in the Plugins configuration menu.

Directory View Modes - It appears that when switching modes say whilst browsing for video's, there is a particular mode which would display a picture for that folder. i have added JPG's into said folders and still no picture appears whilst browsing.

Ok I think that is about it. Overall a very good product, far easier to configure than previous front ends I have tried, just hoping the above can be resolved

Its a bug in the current release. Create a 'skin' subdirectory in the gbpvr install directory and it'll start working.

This most likely means you some firewall software blocking PVRX2.exe from connecting to the stream radio server.

Yeah, this plugin is history. I'll remove mention of it from the config app for the next release.

It'll show an image on a folder icon if that folder contains a folder.jpg file.

Aspect Ratios - Wow excellent, this was going to be the make or break feature, marvelous.

Net Radio - Indeed I have a firewall on the router, will check that out and see if I can sort it, thanks for the tip.

Skins - Will give it a try, thanks.

Youtube - Shame but it was not a feature I had even been expecting so, no loss to me.

Directory view modes - Works a treat, thanks Is there any way it can be set to "any" jpg rather than one specifically named Folder.jpg? Not a big deal either way.

Just need to figure the score with the external screensaver, but, given the above, I can say in all certainty, I have found my new HTPC front end
