SD appears to have had some issue with their lineups for my provider but those appear to be fixed now. However, the channels are still not showing in the EPG. They are still missing from the <lineups> section of the zap2it.xml.

Just for grins, I tried using xmltv to download the listings. I noticed that the file it generates is quite a bit different from the zap2it.xml...for one thing, there's no lineups section. Anyway, I loaded the xmltv file into GB-PVR and the History Channels are indeed there now. So now I'm more confused.

I don't have any more time to mess with it tonite so I'll have to get back to it tomorrow.

I have the same issue. We've lived with not having a lineup for the E! channel for year or so, but just recently the problem affected a few more channels. ESPN and ESPN2 were showing no details. I checked SD and saw they added these to my lineup a 2nd time in the channel 5000 range too. I removed those and the lineup returned to the originals but I searched for a duplicate E in the lineup but couldn't find one.

Where do you see the zap2it.xml file? I searched my system and couldn't find one.

You have to edit the config.xml file and set SaveZap2itXML to true. The line should look like this: <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML>. It's set to false by default. It's probably safest to use Notepad to edit config.xml. Might even want to save a copy before editing. Once that's set (and the recording service restarted) it will write zap2it.xml in the C: root directory when it does an EPG update.

I've been dinking it with for a while and it's obviously a problem on their end. I've sent them a copy of the file and it's obvious what the problem is. I sure hope they fix it soon because probably 50% of my recordings are (were Sad ) from the History Channel (I'm a Modern Marvels junkie Smile ). Why couldn't something like MTV or FoxNews be the one that's hosed?

BTW, false alarm on it working with xmltv...same problem (not surprisingly).

To follow up on this...according to the guys at SD it's a bug in the data they get from Tribune. Station listings evidently can have a 'from' and 'to' date parameter. Most of them seem to have only a 'from' but a couple have a 'to' date of July 21 (guess which ones Rolleyes). If you try to pull data beyond the 'to' date you don't get that channel. They've reported it to Tribune before and it was supposedly fixed but it's still showing up. If you pull only one day and look at the raw xml you'll see it in the <lineup> section. They're gonna report it again so hopefully it'll get fixed. In the meantime, I pulled two weeks and edited the file so I have the listings until the next time I do a pull.
