Is there a link with directions to set up GB-PVR to pick-up Clear QAM cable? I have moderate computer skills.

I'm not aware of a guide, it is much the same as getting anything else working, except using slightly different options when setting up your capute source in config.exe.

My first question is going to be What card are you going to be using with GBPVR, not all cards that support QAM will work with GBPVR

It's the same as setting up an OTA tuner:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

Just when selecting the device type, choose the option with "(QAM)".

That card will work

Here is where i would start.

Config.exe -> caputer source -> Add -> Recording source -> digital recording then settings, Looks for hauppauge 1800mce [QAM]

The set up an EPG sources and hit update epg

IT will bring you to a screen to scan for channels, then once it has finnishes scanning you should be able to map each cannel to your epg data and then you are all set

When I go to the Capture Source page the Add button isn't active, therefore I can't proceed. What do I need to do? I know the tuner card is working because I can watch TV using Windows Media Center.

The 'add' button isnt need, thats only for people manually adding channels. Instead you should be setting up a valid EPG, then hitting the 'map digital channels to epg channels' to initiate the scan.

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...ource#toc2 should get you going. There is also a section on the wiki that lists the EPG options available.

Am trying to do what you all are explaining but nothing is working. There is no Add button or Update EPG buttons available. I appreciate the help & I'm not usually this helpless, but.... I install the program, run the Config program & then I can't do anything else. Am missing a step?? Thanks in advance.
