Nova-s + and scanning weirdness

Hey guys,

When i scan any of the D1 sat configs in the config i get no channels, as it scans past the channels it give - strenght and 80-100 for quality settings and sometimes previews pop up in the window but it always says no channels found

I looked in the scan.cache file and it is empty, I took the same lnb settings

and put them into wintv and get all the channels sweet as, so I am doing something very stupid somewhere, can you guys give me any hints, I have tried using the dvb epg as wel as my xmltvnz guide data to see if that maes any difference

I have burnt a couple of hours on this so far and no dice

I think I found the problem,

Vista related, I ran the Re-registerfilters.bat from an admin command prompt and everything appears to be sweet. Found that little tip in a dvb-t thread.

Another bullet dodged and the mrs will be happy again ... for now

To try it out set no epg.

Then run a scan. Click the check boxs on the channels so they are all enabled..

If you've got an older dish then you have got the the lnb settngs, but if you have a newer one (dual lnb) then they are different - 10750 i think.

The Sat entry you want is the Optus D1 (NZ FTA). I can't relly see anything else wrong.

Okay now I have that sorted I am having alot of what I think are vista related issues, poor performance etc etc will have a scout around the forums and see what i can find
