In the "Capture Source" tab, do you have "Configure this machine to act as a client" checked? If so, uncheck it and you will be able to add a capture source.

Scans my basic cable channels fine. When trying to set-up QAM I click Map Digital Channels button, it scans, but doesn't find channels. I select HVR-1800(QAM) (my tuner) in source spot & my EPG is set up correctly. What am I doing wrong now. I know Comcast has Clear QAM channels. I need a beer!!

Zip and post your config.*.log files after a scan.

Where do I get that file & how do I send it to you?

There is info about finding the log files, and attaching files to posts, in the sticky thread titled 'Posting support questions'.

All log files are in a subdirectory of the GBPVR program folder. The default is "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\logs". There should be a config.exe.log and a config.exe-native.log.

You will need to zip them and then you can attach the zip file by clicking the paperclip icon when replying.

Attaching zip files. Is ther a way to check to see if the QAM tuner on my new card is working?

You should make sure that you can get QAM stations with the included WinTV software first. If you can view QAM channels in that, then we can try scanning different frequencies.

Tried Win-TV & BeyondTV. Getting Analog channels OK, but nothing in the QAM scans.

If it's not working with WinTV, you probably won't get it to work with GBPVR. Do you have a QAM capable TV to verify that you get any clear QAM stations by any chance?
