Running GbPVR 1.2.13 on Windows XP Pro SP3 UK, AMD X2 4050e, Gigabyte GA-MA-780GM-S2H mainboard, PowerDVD 7.3 MPEG2 codecs, MdAPI 2.1.1, Acamd 5.0.9b

If I don't enable MDec support using the config.exe, exiting LiveTV after watching a Free to Cable channel using the "ESC" key brings me back to the main GbPVR window. If I enable MDec support, exiting LiveTV after watching a Free to Cable channel or a scrambled channel using the "ESC" key briefly flashes the main GbPVR window and then terminates the application. The log doesn't give any clues, nor does the event viewer.

Any idea what in MdApi 2.1.1 could trigger this (WM_QUIT message) or why this happens? I'm happy to post the logs here if requested.

No, I dont know. I've not had this problem myself.

Post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log though, and I'll see if there is anything obvious in the logs.

Log file added to initial post. Maybe its the gbpvr fix that came with mdapi?

No, I dont think so. That fix didnt change much at all, and is working fine for me.

If you remove the multidec plugins from the directory, even if it cant decrypt, does the app still crash when exiting live tv?

In this case, keeping the mdec support enabled in the config file, keeping the mdapifilter.ax but emptying the mdplugins directory, the application doesn't crash. I think the logs are similar but I'll add them anyway. Does this mean it's related to acamd.dll loading and/or freeing?

Yes, it sounds like some problem with way the mdapi filter is using your specific plugin. You could try asking the question on the DVBN forums so that heerfordt can take a look.

Never mind, already was poking, hacking and slashing around in mdapi sources because I wasn't happy with it, removed the freelibrary call (that heerfordt added by the way) and presto, no more crashing. Now I must try to reach the acamd author as this isn't open source, to notify him of a bug in DllMain DLL_PROCESS_DETACH.
