Does GBPVR support DVB-T radio? It's not picking up these stations in the scan and I can't find any reference to it. I'm using a Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T PCI card that supports DVB-T radio.

You can get DVB radio with this plugin: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/DVB-TRadio

Okay I've downloaded the plugin, but theres some instruction rellated to the installation that I don't understand:

"2. If you don’t already have it, you’ll need to download and register the LAME MP3 Directshow Encoder filter. I recommend the download in the section ‘LAME 3.98 beta 8 DirectShow Filter’ from this link… http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-dshow-...beta-dshow"

What's all this 'register' stuff? I can't connect it with the files in the download. Unfortunately, most of the GBPVR website's language is not designed to be aimed at people like me, who don't have the time to get into it so deeply.

I'm getting close to the point where I'm just going to send the stupid card back to Pinnacle.

I'm not personally used this plugin, so I'm definitely in a position to answer questions on it's use. If you've got questions about installing it or using it, you're probably best to ask them in the dvb-t radio sub-forum: http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41

True. This is definitely software for enthusiasts. GB-PVR is very flexible and tweakable, but this does make it more complex than some other software. I'm ok with this.

They've changed the link for that download - sorry, I'll update the page to reflect that.

Go to that link and download the zip file from the section that says "LAME 3.98 DirectShow Filter". Unzip the contents to your Windows\system32 folder. Go to the Windows\system32 folder and run (double-click) the RegLAME_DS.bat file. Doing this will register the LAME filter.

By the way - I'm the author of the DVB-T Radio plugin which isn't a core part of GB-PVR. Please don't blame sub for any misleading instructions on the DVB-T Radio plugin download page - that's entirely my responsibility.

If you need further support, the sub-forum to discuss this is...

Cheers,
Brian
