Hi
I'm having a big problem sorting out decoders to cope with Live TV, playback of GBPVR TV recordings & watching MPEG recorded videos (Windows MPEG Movie Files, as opposed to Microsoft Recorded TV Show).
My main problems are;
Just for reference I'm using two Nova-T 500 cards with an ATI Radeon 9700 graphics card and a Terratec DMX6 Fire audio card.
PVRX2 Video Renderer = VMR9 Custom
GBPVR Video Renderer = VMR9
The MPEG-2 Playback options I have available in Config are;
Video Decoder;
System Default
InterVideo Video Decoder
NVIDIA Video Decoder
CycerLink Video/SP Decoder
Sonic Cinemaster DS Video Decoder
MPEG Video Decoder
Audio Decoder;
System Default
MPEG Audio Decoder
NVIDIA Audio Decoder
CyberLink Audio Decoder
InterVideo Audio Decoder
Audio Renderer;
System Default
DMX 6fire Wave
Sonic Cinemaster © ATI SPDIF Adapter
Default DirectSound Device
Default WaveOut Device
DirectSound: DMX 6fire Wave
DirectSound: Realtek AC97 Audio
Realtek AC97 Audio
H.264 Decoder;
System Default
AAC Decoder;
System Default
MONOGRAM AAC Decoder
HE AAC Decoder;
System Default
MONOGRAM AAC Decoder
Obviously there's loads of permutations to try!
I'm sure when I had BBC1 working it depended upon whether stereo or Dolby were selected in the audio decoder options. Does this really sound likely?:eek:
I'm getting tied in knots here. Can anybody offer any suggestions or tell me what configuration they're using which works?
Thanks
Graham
I'm having a big problem sorting out decoders to cope with Live TV, playback of GBPVR TV recordings & watching MPEG recorded videos (Windows MPEG Movie Files, as opposed to Microsoft Recorded TV Show).
My main problems are;
- I cannot get a picture on BBC1 - only sound. Sub suggests trying other video decoders rather than system default. (I did briefly find a workable option by accident and can't replicate it now! However it seemed to be dependant upon the choices of video decoder, audio decoder & options and audio renderer. It also caused other audio problems.)
- Playback of TV recordings from GBPVR have problems with audio playback, it's kind of warbling.
- Playing mpeg movie files also has a problem with the audio. The soundtrack is a long way out of sync with the video.
