GBPVR and VMWare Player

Hi,

after installing VMWare Player 2.0.4 I lost connectivity between GBPVR server and MVP: The MVP wasn't able to start emulation mode and after restarting both machines, even was not able to boot. GBPVR logs are fine as if something is disturbing the communication without even been recognized by GBPVR.

So I stopped all of the VMWare services - as far as I have recognized them as such - and tried again with same result. After un-installing VMWare Player the MVP worked as before.

Any ideas what to do? I'd like to have VMWare Player to do some linux experiments...

I'm not sure, but doesn't VMWare provide a DHCP server of some kind? and could this be upsetting the MVP at boot time?.
I see I have a process vmnetdhcp running with vmware, but no problem with my MVP. I've not tried player.
It may depend on the type of networking vmware/player is configured for??
