Using a cable box

My cable company recently went to all digital. They sent me a free bare-bones cable box but GBPVR is not recogniizing it (A cable card would have cost me). I have deleted EPG and manually added channel 3 but nothing happens when I click Live TV. It was not working on 1.2.9, there I would get snow on the screen. I just upgraded to 1.2.13 but now when I click Live TV it does nothing.

What type of capture card do you have?

Sorry, let me give you a little more info I have an ATI TV Wonder 650, AMD Anthlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+, 2.6 GHz, 2 GB RAM. Everything worked fine until the cable company went to all digital.

How are you trying to connect from the set top box to your ATI 650? svideo/composite/RF?

Wow. I did not expect such quick response. Thanks. The cheap cable box only has RF.

If you run the tuning assistant, do you see the set top box output? (usually on CH2 or CH3)

Tuning Assistant found nothing

Closer. I swapped out the cheapo cable box for the standard cable box and the tuning assistant found channel 3 but Live TV still does not work.

Try live tv, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
