LOF and LNB Settings for DishProPlus and Twinhan 1020A

Seems I am posting a lot recently - apologies. Hopefully others will find this useful too.

My current setup:
Dishpro Plus Twin pointed at 110 and 119
DP301 receiver into port 1 of DPP Twin (for power injection only)
Twinhan 1020a connected to port 2
Port 3 is empty

GBPVR Settings:
Capture Source 1 (119): Device #1, LOF1 = 11250, LNB Switch = 11700, LOF2 =14350;
Capture Source 2 (110): Device #2, all else same

I also set BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod to "2" in config.xml per an earlier post

I am scanning 110 channels fine, but 119 scans result in some 119 channels and some 110 channels. I am guessing my LNB Switch value is not correct?

Also, make sure your DiSqec is set to A for 119 and B for 110.

Just a heads up as I have a whole handful of DPP lnbs and was up until recently fighting with getting my card to work with dedicated DVB apps. Turns out my issues were all related to a defective card. So I have done some research on these lnbs but am currently working with a different card and legacy lnbs.

In regards to the DPP lnbs you have the correct physical setup and observer's LOF suggestion are the correct settings. But because the DPP does band stacking you have to make some changes as these don't work like legacy lnbs.

Try:
Capture Source 1 (119): Device #1, LOF1 = 11250, LNB Switch = 0, LOF2 =11250;
Capture Source 2 (110): Device #2, all else same

Also, make sure your DiSqec is set to A for 119 and B for 110.

I have a thread going on over at HappySat DVBN on this and a helpful person named toolazy has posted his transponder files. I admit since my system is currently working with a 102g and legacy lnbs I have not yet tried out the suggestions but if I get some time this weekend I'll be giving it a try.

I put in the settings as you said, and I also changed the connectons so that the Twinhan is on port #1 on the DPP Twin and the DP301 (used for power injection) is on port #2. Same issue, unfortunately. I am thinking that the DPP Twin's switch is bad, or that my Twinhan 1020a can't handle the switch.

Has anyone had any luck with the 1020A and a DP Twin?

bserver_11, is it correct that I can have Device 1 and Device 2 (as set for 119 and 110 respectively) both point to the same card, a Twinhan 1020a in my case? When I tried this, GBPVR says it can't start up Device 2 when I try to map channels for 110. I realize I put that as my settings in my original post, but now I am finding that it doesn't work.

In any case, even with both 119 and 110 set to Device 1 and all other settings as recommended, it was a no go.

Is it possible that the DP301 receiver I use as a power injector into the DP Twin lnb might be messing with the Twinhan's attempts to switch?

Drugstore cowboy - let me know how it goes. My guess is that setting the TPs to vertical will affect the channels you get, but not switching. Again, just my guess.

No. Device 1 for both 119 and 110. Use DiSEqC A for 119 and DiSEqC B for 110.

The transponder INI files you referenced are in Khz vice Mhz. For GBPVR use Mhz.

I have had good luck using 2) DP Twin with the 1020a, at least hardware wise. Software, well that's another story... DVB Dream is currently working perfectly with my DP Twin and 1020a hardware but GBPVR lately is not switching to the second sat at all ...:confused: I haven't had much time to troubleshoot, I'm not sure how long this has been a problem but it used to switch between sats fine in GBPVR as well.
