Do you have the DP Twin or The DP Plus Twin (what I have)? I've heard that the DP Plus can be trickier due to extra power consumption, type of built-in switch, etc.

Setting BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod to "0" in config.xml seems to have corrected my switching sat problem.

Thanks for the tips. The config file change didn't work for me, unfortunately. I'm going to Pick up a DP Twin or Quad and try that out.

Do you drive your DP Twin with just the 1020A, or do you hook up another power supply too?

For posterity's sake, I switched to a DP Quad (not a "Plus") and everything worked well. Seems Twinhan 1020A and DP Plus lnb's don't play well together.

Thanks for posting the follow-up. Thess kind of 'lessons learned' are good to record for others in the future.

BTW, are you having any trouble initially tuning HD channels? Sometimes I only get audio and I have to go back to the EPG and re-select the channel before I can get audio and video.

I don't believe I have tuned any HD channels - my system doesn't seem to pull them in, though I haven't paid much attention to it because HD won't look much different on my 1997 GE television ;-). I'm going to do a rescan this weekend, so I will let you know.

Well I tried using my DishPro Plus twin LNBs with no success. I do not however, have a power inserter or old sat box to help power the LNB. I tried adding the terminator cap to the out port of my 102g card but still no luck.

I have since given up and thrown a single legacy LNB on the dish and have been smiling ever since !!

From my experience, a 1020a is not able to power a twin by itself - I believe a power injector (or an old receiver) is required.
