Hauppauge HVR-2250

Excellent. I actually like it most because it reduces how many splits I need by having QAM and NTSC cable on one lead. The two ATSC OTA channels I get can then stay by themselves on the HVR 1600.

I bought HVR 2250 from Hauppauge.

We are still trying to figure out how to pick up Line 21 Close Caption to .txt from the HVR 2250. We can do this from the PVR 500 by using ccextractor, if you have any idea please email me rshapiro2@msn.com thanks.

Sub, how do you set up this card for analog input? My HVR-1600 ended up dying so I just replaced it with this

Ok, one other question. Since this card has "four" tuners, do I need to set up two digital tuners and two analog tuners in order to use them all or can I just set up one of each and gbpvr will automatically choose a tuner to record?

Yes, you'd need four capture sources.

To GB-PVR it looks like multiple separate devices.

I'm looking for some assistance in setting this card up. This is my first attempt at installing a TV Tuner, and I chose this one due to the dual tuner features it provides. I was able to install the card, drivers, and ran through the detection process within Windows Media Center.

I am able to watch one channel at a time, and record one channel at a time. However when the tunner is recording, I am unable to watch a second channel while it records, nor am I able to record 2 channels at the same time.

I have normal cable TV and have it plugged into the correct input on my TV Tuner card. I have attempted the WMC detection multiple times, and even splitting the cable to enter on both inputs of the Tuner card at the same time.

Any possible help available?

Are you using GB-PVR or WMC? This forums is about GB-PVR. If you want to know how to get it going in WMC, try asking your question on the Hauppauge forums, or thegreenbutton or other forum.
