That's the point here. A timeslot definition SHOULD include day of the week. ABC shows Blind Justice at 9 on Tuesdays. They don't show it at 9 every day. Does this distinction need to go into the wish list?

No, it SHOULDNT include day of week, because this is the way I want it work.

I like the timeslot feature as it's great for daily episodes of shows.
However, could weekly recordings be added as a Wishlist item? Perhaps that would help with some of the confusion. Yes I'm familiar with CDKScheduler, but my first experience with a PriorityRecording.xml file was bad (crashed my system everytime it was run) so I'm hesitant to try it again.

I'll second the motion to have weekly recordings as a wishlist item.
Thanks for a great program!

Or just weekdays, as well. You could set Regis or Wheel of Fortune (for example), without recording whatever's on Saturday and Sunday at those times.

I'm clogged up on time... but the next version of CDK with XRecord should be much easier and reliable.
If you are hesitant to use... I would wait till then. When I post the new version of CDK, I will inform everyone if its prime time ready for all users.

You can also edit the config.xml file to change what GB-PVR defines as a time slot. Currently it is set to +/- 2 hours (120 minutes) Look for
<AllowableTimeslotVariance>120</AllowableTimeslotVariance> and change it to what ever you want.

The extra UI stuff it adds is clunky which makes it take a lot of time to use compared to native scheduling. It doesn't seem like something that would require a massive rewrite and it's something that I consider (as a user) should have been there all along. I've not seen any kind of recording device in a long time that didn't allow this granularity for scheduling and I think it would be a great addition. |
